Appointment Cancellation policy

This policy outlines procedures for cancelling your appointment, procedure, or surgery with a member of Queensway Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Patients are responsible for providing adequate notice if they want to cancel or reschedule their appointment.

Office Appointments

• A minimum notice of 3 business days is required for the cancellations of appointments.
• Cancellations must be made directly to the clinic by phone at 905-268-9928.
• Late Cancellations  (less than 3 business days) or no-shows may result in fees are up to $300; as determined by the clinic (type of appointment and length of time are factors).

Hospital Procedures (Colposcopy, Urodynamic Studies)

• A minimum notice of 5 business days is required for the cancellations of appointments.
• Cancellations must be made directly to the clinic by phone at 905-268-9928.
• Late Cancellations  (less than 5 business days) or no-shows may result in fees are up to $500; as determined by the clinic (type of appointment and length of time are factors).

Surgery Cancellations

• A minimum of 10 business days notice is required for cancellations of surgery.
• Cancellations must be made directly to the clinic by phone at 905-268-9928.
• Patients who cancel their surgery may be placed at the end of the surgical waitlist.
• Surgery cancellations within 10 days will incur fees up to $1500 as determined by the reason for cancellation and the time originally allocated for surgery.
• Patients who cancel within 10 days may not be placed back on the surgical waitlist and may be assumed to have terminated the relationship with their physician.  This will be determined case by case.
