Patients are invited to leave a message and the appropriate team member will call back, usually within 3-4 business days.  Please note:

  • Our office receives several hundred messages every day, so please be patient awaiting a response.
  • Please refrain from leaving multiple messages for the same issue.
  • Please do not leave messages with clinical questions as these cannot be addressed through administrative staff. Messages with clinical questions will be deleted without response.
  • If you have an emergency, do not call the office and leave a message, please go to your nearest Emergency Room or call 911.

Queensway Obstetrics and Gynecology supports the use of email and text messages to communicate with patients.

We use several different email services.  For instance, we use gmail for routine administrative messages.

Our electronic medical records also provides an opportunity to send more secure email and text messaging.  Any messages that contain personal information, like lab requisitions or results, are limited to these secure technologies, unless the patient expressly approves using gmail to send these items.

Please note the following:

  • We are currently unable to receive text messages from patients.
  • We cannot respond to any clinical questions over email.

The Clinic cannot guarantee that your email/text will be received, read or responded to within any particular period of time.

Should you wish to opt-out from receiving email/text messages, please speak to a staff member.

If you choose to communicate with the clinic electronically, you should be aware that messages you send to or receive from the clinic:
  • May not be secure. The clinic cannot guarantee the security of any message transmitted outside of our system;
  • May exist as an electronic record within the clinic indefinitely.
For these reasons, if you use email or text messaging to communicate any information, including personal health information, to the clinic, or to receive any information, you are hereby accepting the inherent risk of this information being compromised.
Patients understand that:
  • It is their responsibility to monitor messages received at the provided email addresses and phone numbers and to advise the clinic of any changes.
  • The clinic cannot guarantee the privacy and security of text messages sent or received from the clinic.
  • Electronic communication is not an appropriate substitute for in-person or over-the-telephone communication, where appropriate, or for attending the emergency department when needed.
  • Email and text messaging cannot be used to communicate urgent information.
  • The clinic does not guarantee the receipt or review of any text messages that I may send to or receive from the clinic.
  • They may stop using text messaging for clinical communication purposes at any time, at which point they will notify the clinic to stop using electronic messaging for these purposes. I understand that this consent remains effective unless and until it is withdrawn.
  • That individual care providers may stop using text messaging for clinical communication purposes at any time.
